In 2013, she co-founded Hecktic Media Inc. and successfully merged her business skills with her loves of travel and new media. Dalene holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and spent ten years in corporate Canada negotiating and managing multi-million dollar projects.
A Bachelor of Management graduate and previous Certified Management Accountant, Pete spent close to ten years with various firms in Canada. He is now a full-time traveler, professional photographer, and a co-founder of Hecktic Media Inc., where he is able to focus his strengths of strategy and process efficiency for new media campaigns. With over seven years experience in social media marketing for global travel brands (including G Adventures, Intrepid Travel, and more), Andrew is an expert in running large campaigns, increasing brand awareness, driving web traffic, supporting marketing initiatives, and increasing sales. He has spoken professionally at Social Media Week and TBEX, and his advice has been sourced by Skift, National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal, BBC Travel, Facebook and Twitter’s Marketing blogs, and more.
With over four years of freelance travel industry experience, from pitching potential clients to coordinating contracts and planning conferences, Katie has honed her organization, communication, design, and negotiation skills to a unique and rounded set of professional assets. She has over 5 years of blogging experience and, as a travel blog enthusiast, is proud to be a proponent in the new media industry.
Liz spent over ten years in human resources with global fortune 500 companies recruiting top talent and building attraction programs for students. She cut her teeth in the travel industry as a start-up influencer management company working with Flytographer. With a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, she excels in evaluating and improving procedural policies, managing multiple projects and cultivating relationships across all industries, including in the new media space.
Madeline has spent the last three years managing social media platforms for travel companies and non-profits, including the International League of Conservation Photographers in Washington, D.C. She possesses a sizable amount of social media, communications, design, and photography knowledge, and as well as being an accomplished photographer, she recently graduated from the University of St Andrews in Scotland with a Bachelors in Sustainable Development.
